This is a question about labeling keys in the settings center. How do I silence the tab and enter keys when I use them? When I listened to the interview about it, that sounded easy but i certainly can't silence enter and tab keys. Any help is appreciated. I have to say, though, the research it feature in jaws 12 is quite an enhancement.

Here's what I do:
Go to JAWS Window insert j
Go to Utilities -> Settings Center, then just type labels in the search box, just l a b e l s no spaces or anything, hit down arrow and on the item called:
Manage Key Labels
push f6, then push space on the button you're on, the same name 'Manage Key Labels ...'
Now scroll down to Enter called 'return' and to tab called 'tab', and on each one push the space bar to make it go mute. There is a Toggle Mute button I think you can tab to, but the space bar works there also.
Tab to OK and push that, then push f6 to the list again and tab to OK / push enter again, basically do 'OK' until it closes.

HTH,

Leo

Just done the keys thing and I like it. Unfortunately it's a bit inaccurate, because it says it speaks insert when it doesn't.
